Silo Melmer
The models from Silo-Melmer, a company based in Imst, Tyrol, are very popular among many model builders – and also with me. The first model was released by Herpa Miniaturmodelle in 2003. Over the years, a collection has developed, which now consists of 45 different models.
The idea of having his silo trucks painted with special motifs came to Rupert Melmer in 1995. Together with artists Knud Trioch and Elmar Schmarl, who have been known as 'Team Xtreme Colors' since 1993, he found the perfect partners to create unique airbrush designs for his trucks. These airbrush trucks have become the hallmark of Silo-Melmer, with a loyal fanbase, and are true eye-catchers on the roads.
